• 18 years or older
• Legally authorized to work in the United States, with a valid taxpayer ID (SSN or ITIN) and a U.S. checking account for direct deposit
• Professional hospitality experience. The most successful professionals have 1–2+ years, including fine dining and banquet work at hotels, restaurants or staffing agencies.
• Bartenders: a valid bartending license or certificate, and your own complete bar kit
• Comfortable working independently or alongside other professionals, and a courteous, service-oriented approach with clients and peers

1. Apply online. Fill out our application form.
2. Intro call. If it looks like a good fit, we’ll schedule a 30-minute call to tell you about the opportunity and learn about you.
3. Get verified. Complete a background check, review and sign our Independent Contractor Agreement, and set up direct deposit.
4. Onboarding. Complete onboarding, including our best-practices session, and confirm your measurements for Hostly-branded attire.

We work across the South Florida metro area, and we do our best to fill requests outside it. If you live elsewhere and are interested, reach out. We’re always looking to grow our network.

We handle client bookings, billing, scheduling logistics and payment, and we provide event-day support during every engagement. You get access to a steady flow of opportunities and the chance to build repeat relationships with clients who request you again.

We send you engagement offers based on your location, availability and the roles you offer. Each offer includes the event details, and you’re always free to accept or decline. Reliability, punctuality and client feedback help determine which engagements you’re matched with, and clients can request professionals they’ve enjoyed working with before. Once you accept, we’ll confirm with you and share everything you need before the event.

Pay rates are offered per engagement, based on the role and time of year, with higher rates on high-demand dates such as holidays. Engagements have a five-hour minimum. Payment for completed engagements is deposited directly into your bank account.

No. Travel and parking are arranged and paid for by each professional.

Engagements that start through Hostly stay with Hostly. Exchanging contact information with clients to book work outside the platform isn’t permitted. By accepting our Terms & Conditions during onboarding, professionals and clients agree not to circumvent Hostly for engagements originating through our platform; full terms are in the Terms & Conditions and the Independent Contractor Agreement. Hostly may end a professional’s access to the platform in line with those agreements.
